Generating Business Leads
The following steps will help you get more success in finding some good business leads:
Searching
You need first of all people to buy your business idea and the products you are promoting. Choosing the kind of people you should be approaching depends on what you are promoting. Generally for finding good MLM prospects, you want to be working with a company that has daily use products. The best place to start then in building your database of prospects will be with all the people you know and who know you. Next, expand your circle by including all the people in your residential area. Obtaining a database from the internet is also an alternative. You may even publish print ads to invite queries from people.
Approaching
Once you’ve enlarged your database, you need to begin to approach all the people you’ve collected. It is more efficient if you can address a larger group at one time. When you approach the people, just give them a brief idea about your company and the nature of the products. Don’t go in to allot of unnecessarily detail. A further refining of your list is still needed before you get in to more detail. Keep the first exposure session as brief as possible, otherwise you’ll become tired and disheartened in the starting itself.
Identifying
After seeing the response of your prospects, you can identify the people who are genuinely interested in your product or company. The people who are not interested may give you some leads. Immediately eliminate those from your database who were totally against your presentation and stop any further talks with them about your business. Get further referral leads from your favorable and not-so-unfavorable group. Also, try to build more interest level amongst your prospects. Your presentation skills are crucial for this step.
Deal
Close the deals with those who are willing to do so. Introduce them to your up-line while keeping the rest of the prospects in the follow-up list.
Building an MLM network is not a child’s play. It will require a lot of conviction in you. Despite a low success rate initially, it’s your strong determination that keep you in the MLM game and get you a decent return eventually.
